Health care at home is at the center of health care delivery reforms and Washington health policy. The pandemic has accelerated the merging of services and technology in the home. With the emergence of hospital and skilled nursing facility levels of care at home, Washington is engaged in serious policy change developments. This program is a tour of the congressional and regulatory activity that focuses on game-changing reforms along with the ongoing payment rate updates, Medicare claims and quality of care oversight, and efforts at innovation within government-based programs.

Speaker: Bill Dombi is the President of the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, having served previously as its Vice President for Law. Bill has over 40 years of experience in health care law and policy and has been involved in virtually all legislative and regulatory efforts affecting home care and hospice since 1975, including the expansion of the Medicare home health benefit in 1980, the formation of the hospice benefit in 1983, the institution on Medicare PPS for home health in 2000 and the massive health care reform legislation in 2010. Mr. Dombi earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Connecticut.
