This course will be a two-and-a-half-hour session covering: The alphabet soup of government audits is on the rise in Home Health. TPE’s, RAC’s, UPIC’s, SMRC’s, etc.
Learn the importance of each and what to do if your agency is one of the chosen. In this session we will discuss the different audits currently affecting the home health industry, how to prepare and what to do if you receive a request. We will review the top denial reasons, how to avoid those denials and how to appeal if you receive a denial. We will discuss home health compliance and answer your questions in this informative session.
About the Presenter Debra Grott, RN, COS-C, Director, Compliance & Regulatory, SimiTree Debra has over 20 years of clinical, operational, and management experience in home health which includes, due diligence, acquisitions, and integration of agencies; corporate compliance; clinical and billing audits; appeals; performance improvement & quality assessment; education and training; survey readiness and follow-up for state, federal or accreditation certification; and Medicare billing practices.
Debra is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, Palmetto GBA’s Home Health & Hospice POE Advisory group, as well as Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF), where she has presented on Review Choice Demonstration. Debra has also presented for the Home Care Association of Arkansas on Targeted Probe and Educate.
Debra is a certified OASIS reviewer (COS-C), as well as an ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) certified consultant for Home Health, Hospice, Palliative Care, Behavioral Health and Private Duty and a CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner) certified consultant for Home Health and Hospice. Debra earned her AS degree in Nursing from Delaware Technical and Community College.

Confirmation: Prior to the webinar, you will receive a Zoom confirmation email which will include a join link to access the webinar, a dial-in number and an access code to listen in via telephone. You will also be sent any pertinent handouts if available.
Registration Fee: The registration fee covers one individual and one continuing education (CE) certificate (if applicable). Multiple site participation from individuals within your agency will require separate registration. For example: if your agency has paid for 1 participating registration but 3 people from your agency would like to attend (and receive CE credit), your agency will need to pay a separate registration fee for all 3 participants. In addition, if your agency has sent in 1 registration but 3 people from your agency register through the Zoom link, your agency will be invoiced the registration fee for the additional 2 registrations. The handouts will be emailed to you to the email address you provide.
Cancellation and Substitution Policy: Fees will be refunded, or invoices will be adjusted, only if written notice of cancellation is received one week prior to the event.
Recording: The recording for this webinar will be made available for 30 days following the webinar.
