How do home health leaders stay healthy and on track in these tumultuous times? How do we prevent burnout? Does leader self-care trickle down as role modeling behavior for staff to prioritize self-care?

Let’s delve in to how we define self-care and how our awareness of filling our own cup impacts our health and well-being, and if prioritizing our self-care helps to improve our teams behaviors on and off the clock when it comes to their job satisfaction.

Let’s share what works well for us, resources and inspiration for all during this interactive round table opportunity!

Facilitator: Emily Bennett is a Performance Improvement Manager at Providence Home Health in Oregon. She began her journey of embracing self-care as a leader in 2016 when beginning to feel a twinge of burn out when the captain of the ship (first in, last out) mentality began to impact her relationships with her family and colleagues. She discovered the wonderful world of life coaching, completed  a 6 month, 200 hour yoga teacher training program, and subsequently graduated from the Integrative Nurse Coach Certification Program where she learned the importance of integrative lifestyle strategies for health and wellness promotion, awareness practices, and the professional practice model of nurse coaching that embraces motivational interviewing, positive inquiry, and non-violent communication techniques to build strong healthy relationships with others, by first being kind to yourself.
