Join our McBee experts for a comprehensive, two-day training on OASIS-E with a focus on updated items used for functional scores in PDGM, Quality of Care star ratings, Value-Based Purchasing and other items that present challenges to field staff and reviewers.

A comparison of the M1800 ADL/IADL items and GG items (Medicare wants us to get better at GG) will be covered. Attendees will discover key items used for IMPACT Act, Total Normal Composite VBP OASIS items and other quality measures. Resources such as Q&A updates, assessment tips and scenarios will be leveraged to apply and test your knowledge of OASIS-E.

Preparing to take the OASIS-E certification exam? This two-day training includes access to the McBee OASIS Certification Practice Exam. The practice exam will be fully updated for the OASIS-E exam, and is a great way to test your knowledge and prepare for the exam.

Objectives

  2. Identify guidance on OASIS items used for payment in PDGM
  3. Identify guidance on OASIS items used for the Quality of Care Star rating
  4. Identify guidance on OASIS items used for Value-Based Purchasing
  5. Describe one tip to ensure accurate OASIS assessment and responses

PRESENTER
Lisa Selman-Holman, Vice President of Education & Quality at McBee, brings more than 35 years of experience in the home health & hospice industry, specializing in regulatory compliance, both as an RN and a home care attorney. Lisa founded Selman-Holman CoDr (Coding Done Right), a coding outsource and audit company, which was acquired by McBee in 2021. In her role as VP of Quality and Education, Lisa leads quality audit team to ensure the highest-level of accuracy in coding and clinical documentation internally at McBee and externally for clients nationwide. She will expand McBee’s educational offerings, including live events and on-demand online trainings through the McBee Post-Acute Academy. Lisa is the past chair of the Board of Medical Specialty Coding and Compliance (BMSCC) and is an originator of the Homecare Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D), Homecare Clinical Specialist-OASIS (HCS-O) and Homecare Coding Specialist-Hospice (HCS-H) credentials. She is an AHIMA Approved ICD-10- CM Trainer.
