Presented by Melinda A. Gaboury, COS-C. Value Based Purchasing Expansion began January 2023 with full implementation nationwide. There is much to be understood about the details of the outcome measure calculations. This session will take you through the detail calculations of the VBP Model. Attendees will get a deep look at the newly released Interim Performance Reports July 2023. 2023 changes to the risk adjustment have made some swings in the outcome calculations and these will be reviewed during the session. Understanding the TPS and the Linear Exchange Function for is important to an agency’s success and this session will provide that.

• Review the structure of the HHVBP Model
• Outline results from the HHVBP Demo/6th Annual Report
• Detail changes to the risk adjustment impacting HHVBP measure calculations
• Review the 1st Interim Reports for the Nationwide HHVBP Expansion
• Discuss Linear Exchange Function Calculation and how payment is impacted

About the Presenter
Melinda A. Gaboury, COS-C, Chief Executive Officer, Healthcare Provider Solutions, Inc.
Melinda A. Gaboury, with more than 30 years in home care, has over 22 years of executive speaking and educating experience, including extensive day to day interaction with home care and hospice professionals. She routinely conducts Home Care and Hospice Reimbursement Workshops and speaks at state association meetings throughout the country.  Melinda has profound experience in Medicare PDGM training, billing, collections, case-mix calculations, chart reviews and due diligence. UPIC, RA, ADR & TPE appeals with all Medicare MACs have become the forefront of Melinda’s current impact on t­he industry. She is currently serving as the Chair of the NAHC/HHFMA Advisory Board and Work Group and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for both the Home Care Association of Florida & Tennessee Association for Home Care. Melinda is also the author of the Home Health OASIS Guide to OASIS-E  and Home Health Billing Answers, 2023.
Melinda attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee and received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She began her career in 1991 with a large Tennessee based home care chain as a staff accountant and later joined a national healthcare consulting firm as their Reimbursement Manager.

Confirmation: Prior to the webinar, a Zoom link will be e-mailed to you. You will need to register through this link to attend the webinar. After registering via Zoom, you will receive a confirmation email which will include a join link to access the webinar, a dial-in number and an access code to listen in via telephone. You will also be sent any pertinent handouts if available.

Registration Fee: The registration fee covers one individual and 3.25 continuing education (CE) certificate (if applicable). Multiple site participation from individuals within your agency will require separate registration. For example: if your agency has paid for 1 participating registration but 3 people from your agency would like to attend a receive CE credit, your agency will need to pay a separate registration fee for all 3 participants. In addition, if your agency has sent in 1 registration but 3 people from your agency register through the Zoom link, your agency will be invoiced the registration fee for the additional 2 registrations. The handouts will be emailed to you to the email address you provide. Please feel free to provide an additional email address as a backup.
