Program Description: In this five-part series, SimiTree experts will review the components of Home Health and Hospice Quality Reporting, regulatory requirements, key upcoming changes, and key strategies for successful implementation and integration of QAPI program initiatives into your organization’s operations. This interactive series will guide you in ensuring regulatory compliance with your QAPI program, as well as assist in preparation for Home Health Value Based Purchasing and Hospice Public Reporting, and future QRP measures.

Session 2: Home Health VBP and Star Ratings: Overview and QAPI Program Considerations Thursday, April 14, 2022 10am to 11:30am PST
Objective:
- Describe the Home Health Value Based Purchasing Model and CMS plan for expansion.
- Describe the process for conducting a VBP assessment within your home health agency.
- Identify key recommendations to consider in preparation in preparation for VBP and incorporation into your agency’s QAPI program.

Session 3: Home Health Quality Reporting: Data Access and Collection Thursday, April 21, 2022 10am to 11:30am PST
Objective:
- Identify key reports, KPIs data elements (required and recommended) that can be integrated in a comprehensive QAPI program.
- Demonstrate how to utilize reports (as identified in Webinar 1) in order to understand the data and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- ***NOTE: Providers are asked to bring their agency reports to reference during this Webinar for group discussion.
- Develop solutions for Next Generation Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs that integrate current and upcoming performance measures to improve quality outcomes and prepare for VBP.

- Present and discuss selected case studies and industry best practices utilized by home health agencies to demonstrate successful integration of these key data elements into a comprehensive QAPI program which efficiently measures outcomes, ensures regulatory compliance/survey readiness, and reduces risk of financial penalties due to non-compliance with quality reporting requirements.

Session 5: Hospice Quality Reporting and QAPI Programs in 2022 and Beyond: Connecting the Dots for Success Thursday, May 5, 2022 10am to 11:30am PST
Objective:
- Describe the current and upcoming federal regulatory requirements for Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs to ensure survey readiness/compliance for hospice leadership.
- Understand the impact of Hospice CAHPS and Hospice Item Set data collection on HQRP submission thresholds, public reporting and star ratings.
- Identify the components of a comprehensive QAPI program including key performance indicators to be utilized by hospice leadership for monitoring, management and prioritization of agency-wide QAPI efforts.
- Utilize case examples and industry best practices to demonstrate successful integration of key performance indicators into a comprehensive QAPI program which efficiently measure outcomes, ensures regulatory compliance/survey readiness, and reduces risk of financial penalties due to noncompliance with quality reporting requirements.
